I had so much fun attending The NOLA Mac n’ Cheese Fest this year. It was held Saturday, October 12 at Louis Armstrong Park (11 am – 6 pm). The event was free and open to the public. My kids really enjoyed The “Kid’s Zone,” a unified play area presented by the Special Olympics of Louisiana (SOLA). We ate delicious food from Dirty Dishes, Oceana Grill, Original Thought Market and Chef Scott's. I also enjoyed a Bloody Mary cocktail double. I have some awesome photos below. Robin Barnes did an awesome job performing. We missed the Mac n' Cheese eating contest but heard it was all DAT!
The festival has been happening for 3 years! Be prepared to stand in line and wait for tickets. You must purchase tickets for food. The cost is $1 per ticket. The average plate is 8 tickets or $8.
The Judges were: Evie Bories, @Evie_Eats, @Evie_Drinks, Stephen Deadrick, @TheNola15 and The Organ Grinders. Congrats to Oceana Grill for taking home the best mac n cheese prized trophy.
