A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of dining at the best Brazilian steakhouse in Philadelphia Fogo de Chão. We absolutely loved everything about this place, the decor the food and especially the service. We were first greeted by the restaurant manager Martin who had a bootle of their signature red wine Eulila. Our next course was the incredible salad and antiposto bar which had a great assortment of meats, cheeses, salads and sides.
Next came the wide variety of meats, that’s when the real experience came in. At least 6-7 different types of meats including filet mignon, lamb, sausage and chicken. With every type of meat came a different server to hand cut each piece.
Then to finish it all up our server suggested the coconut crème brûlée and trese loaches cake which was absolutely delicious. Overall it was a very enjoyable dining experience and I hope to go back soon.
Last weekend I finally saw one of my favorite Divas, Mariah Carey, in concert! The tickets were part of my birthday present from my father, who accompanied me, though I think he has had a secret crush on her for years. I have been a Mariah fan of her since her first album, when I was only a kid! I remember growing up with the songs “Honey” and “You will always be my baby.” We also went because of the nostalgia, since it was a part of my growing up in the 90’s.
I was unsure what to expect. I was half afraid it would be a night of lip-syncing and glitter. Thankfully, all my expectations where wildly exceeded! Mariah’s live vocals and energy filled the Hard Rock venue in Atlantic City like a flood! Her passion to deliver for her fans, as well as her gratitude, was so personal and professional! She did all of her top hits and also music from her new album, Caution, in the most gorgeous outfits (she did four quick changes). Not only was Mariah a top notch performer, she also had elaborate male dancers and a complete band! Everyone at the show was delighted by her special on stage guests, her children, Monroe & Moroccan, who were absolutely the cutest!
I am just so thrilled to have seen such a legend and cannot wait to do it again!
