So, no matter where you live and what kind of flooring you have, vacuuming is inevitable. (Unless you're still in college, live in a dorm room and have decided to see if you can go eight months without doing out. I had "a friend" who did that when she was 19.) ;) Anyway, Elizabeth at Reviews.com took the pain out of looking for the perfect vacuum that doesn't cost an entire paycheck. Check this out: They started narrowing down the thousands of vacuums on the market to 19 top-rated models from the best-known brands in the industry. They tested the models on power, navigation and their ability to tackle tough messes, With their findings, they created a guide on vacuums. Check it out: https://www.reviews.com/vacuum-cleaner/ Happy vacuuming!
I had the pleasure of getting photos taken with Cat a few weeks ago and I asked her if I could interview her for my blog. She was so fun to work with and really knows how to make a girl feel loved, and beautiful! It was such a fun experience. She had someone on site to do my hair and makeup and we had such a great time.
These are just a few of the final edited photos from my session. I love them!
Here’s more about Cat:
HITC: Tell us a little bit about your studio and what you do.
Cat: My studio is currently located in the comfort of my home in east Mesa on Signal Butte and Broadway. While I’m planning to move into a storefront location in 2020, there’s something to be said about the level of relaxation that being in a home can bring to clients, especially for photo shoots!
Every session includes a pre-shoot styling appointment where we decide what outfits and accessories you’ll wear. You’re able to bring multiple outfits so you can have photos for work, representing your business, gifts for family or your significant other, or just for yourself! You’re even welcome to bring a friend, your other half or kids along to have photos done with them! The day of your shoot you get to be pampered by professional hair and makeup artists. I then make the photo shoot experience super easy by guiding you into different poses and expressions. It’s so much fun!
Within two weeks you come back in for your reveal and order appointment where you view your final images and purchase what you love. Easy peasy!
HITC: How did you get into this type of photography?
Cat: As a survivor of domestic violence I struggled with self-worth for a long time, occasionally I still do. When I came across the contemporary glamour genre about 6 months ago it just clicked that that’s what I was put on this earth to do. I never want any woman to feel unworthy of just being. So I decided I wanted to take gorgeous photos of women and put them on their walls so they can always see their beauty. I even have my own 24X36 portrait hanging in my home and every time I look at it I think, “Wow, that’s me. I am beautiful and I am worthy.” It definitely helps when those bad days decide to pop up.
HITC: What is your favorite part of these photo shoots?
Cat:Definitely the reveal! As much fun as the photo shoots are, I love watching clients smile from ear to ear by seeing themselves in such a different yet amazing light. One of my first clients said, “You found the me that I’ve been looking for” as she held back tears. We cried and hugged. It was such a raw and special moment.
HITC: What do you do when you’re not doing photography?
Cat: I’m a lucky Mom of a rambunctious four year old boy and a silly one year old girl so they definitely keep me on my toes. Aside from getting sucked into one Netflix series or another, I love cooking, yoga and hiking with my husband when we can.
HITC: Anything else you want to tell us?
Cat: My goal is to help women of every age, size and skin tone see that they are beautiful, powerful, and worthy of not only existing in photos, but looking incredible in them as well. If I had one piece of advice, do not wait to have beautiful portraits taken. Life is too short, memories can fade, but portraits last for generations to come.
