Have you heard of Chocolate Banana Nut Bread? Me either, but hard times calls for creativity in the kitchen.
We've been self-quarantined in our condo for 43 days. Lucky for us, we had a random box of gluten-free chocolate cake mix. I searched for additional ingredients to add and found frozen bananas, eggs and at the last minute, I found some walnuts in the spice cabinet! Boom - and that's how chocolate banana nut bread was discovered, during the Covid-19 quarantine.
Scott was shocked. We hardly ever have processed foods in the house, and when he caught a whiff of the delicious, baking concoction - he couldn't wait to get off his conference call.
We were both so excited about how delightful the house smelled, that we didn't allow the deliciousness to cool down. Yes, we burnt our tongues. It happens when you've been self-quarantined for over 40 days.
Now it's your turn! Search for some odd ingredients in your pantry and freezer. Get creative and make something delicious, or at least creative.
Hi there! I am Angel and live a happy life in Pompano Beach with my wonderful husband, Scott, and our two dogs, Brady and Buddy.
I love to travel, the color blue, Netflix binges, Tito’s and gluten-free chocolate raspberry cake. I also have a serious obsession with pictures!
In addition to Housewives in the City, I am a real estate and portrait photographer. I basically make people and things look pretty.
Meeting new friends, making a difference for non-profits and helping businesses grow are my passions. And that is what we get to do at our monthly girls’ nights out!
I can’t wait to meet you. All women are welcome, and we are going to have a ton of fun!
