I travel for my bread and butter. To some this is wonderful because I have literally been almost EVERYWHERE in the US and Canada. Some places are more desirable than others. For me, San Francisco is wonderful because I am a hop, skip and a jump away from Napa and Sonoma. That is not this trip, maybe the next one so stay tuned. Yesterday, I boarded an early morning flight (5:50AM) out of TF Green in Warwick, RI and flew into Memphis, TN with a very short layover in Baltimore. All airlines like to make more money by flying us into their hubs instead of direct flights making our travel longer. Once I got to Memphis, I rented a car and headed 2.5 hours away (3 hours with traffic) to Little Rock, AR.
Little Rock is a little charming. The Old State House has a museum that you can wander through if you want a bit of history.
After arriving in Little Rock around 1:30PM; an hour behind RI time...I took a little walk by the Old State House and then the Arkansas River. Went to my room around 3PM and oopsie, slept til 8PM and headed out for dinner. Now THAT is a long travel day!
Welcome to my blog! Are you wondering what this is all about? I am launching Providence Housewives In The City! I have been attending local networking groups to meet new people, get references on local suppliers or even to try out a new restaurant! Every time I attended one, not only did I have to pay for the event as an attendee, I found that when I went alone (which was most of the time) they were very clicky. You know what I mean, segregated groups roaring with laughter and a few people hanging out alone. These were just not fun. SO, here I am launching Providence Housewives in the City. Keep reading! It's not just for housewives! I will be posting here daily as well as on a blog about a variety of things associated with life in general. Those that know me, get ready for the wine and low carb recipes. Those that don't know me, introduce yourself and let me know what you want to know more about. I will be hosting monthly networking events and you all will be invited! I hope you can join one of them! They will be free! I will tell you more as we go along. Please invite your friends to like my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Providence-Housewives-housewivesinthecitycom-1652934068108874/and follow my blog! I will also be on Instagram, Twitter and Linked In.
I am planning to spend a weekend in Napa Valley in the month of May. Do you know any wineries that I MUST visit? Let me know! Let me know!
Hello, my name is Susan. I am a new blogger expanding my horizons outside of my regular 9-5 job in manufacturing sales. I have had a nice long career and I look forward to continuing it! I’m that person that is going to work through lunch the day before I die! I don’t have a bucket list because I like and want to do anything that doesn’t hurt.
I am a wine enthusiast and I love visiting wineries and wine tasting – you can find them in every state. I have even hosted wine tastings in my home! My current favorite is a cabernet from the Rutherford Valley. I am excited to share my travel tales, wine tastings, delicious low carb recipes and interesting books and articles.
Keep an eye out for me as I bop around town and join me and the Providence Housewives at one of our monthly meet-ups!
