We had the pleasure of attending an AC Moore Kids 2nd Saturday event last weekend. It was our first time taking part in one and I can tell you that we'll definitely go back next month!
Every 2nd Saturday from February to June from 1pm to 3pm, AC Moore Craftologists put together a craft that even the littlest crafters can tackle. All events are free, all materials are supplied, and your little one is sure to have a great time!
Last Saturday's craft was a color-your-own drawstring backpack. We visited the Cary location and we had a great time! We walked in and the sales associates already had the table setup with fabric markers and a backpack for anyone that wanted to participate.
There were several kids around the same age as our little one when we were there so it was great for her to meet some other kids and have a little creative time all at once. Plus since there was no difficult instructions, parents could just let the kids do their thing while they sat back and relaxed or moms and dads can get in on the action too! We like coloring with Little One so we both took turns helping her out :)
The next, but sadly the last, 2nd Saturday event will be on June 11th. The scheduled project will be an Under the Sea Door Hanger. Just in time for summer! If you're not able to make it to the 2nd Saturday event, don't worry. AC Moore will also be offering summer time kids crafting events - more to come as details become available.

Most AC Moore locations also offer other craft classes ranging from crocheting and paper crafts to jewelry making and floral design. These classes have a fee associated with them but are definitely worth it if you're looking to expand your crafting knowledge and have fun while doing it. Hello! I'm Carli, a girl originally from Ohio, who could not be more proud to call Raleigh home the last 12+ years. By day, I work at SAS Institute but when I'm not working, I'm a mom to an amazing boy and 2 dogs. In my free time, I love to stay active working out, playing sports, traveling, crafting, attending a sports game/concert, or shopping!
