How is everyone surviving the quarantine? Life has changed in so many ways for me and I’m adjusting to the new ‘norm’. It makes me realize, nothing in life should be taken for granted. I can see a difference in people as we come together as a nation to help those in need during this difficult time. I have spent more time outside than ever in my life! While walking in my neighborhood, it seems that everyone is waving and friendly (from a 6 ft distance), trying to keep a positive attitude even though a lot of people are going through tough times. A trip to the grocery store can now be fearful, however, I’m so thankful for the employees in these ‘essential’ businesses who go to work day in and day out putting themselves in harms way to help others. As much as I’m fearful for this awful virus and the lives it has destroyed, I’m thankful for those who have stepped up and made a positive impact. I personally have found ways to donate to those in need as well as delivered care packages to front door steps. I pray this quarantine ends soon and no more lives are taken. Have you found a way to help others? Everyone please stay safe and try to remain positive with a smile on your face with hope for our future!
Being quarantined at home for what looks like weeks to come has really opened my eyes to appreciate things I took for granted previously. My son and I have been exploring, creating, building, and so much more. We have not watched television yet during this whole quarantine and it’s honestly felt great! I don’t have anything against television but it’s been my goal to keep my son busy with activities we don’t always have time for. Some of our activities have included building forts from boxes, baking new recipes, coloring wall hangings, shrinky dinks, playing board games, flying a kite, walking our dogs, nurf wars, reading books, building a birdhouse, playing basketball/soccer/baseball/golf/football, and just keeping a positive attitude! It’s so important during this rough time to stay positive and know we will get through this as a nation. How are you keeping yourself and your family busy and positive?
What are some of your favorite beauty products? A few of my favorites are pictured above. It is a mix of cheaper and pricier products. I was sick earlier this week; I felt very pale and looked awful. I discovered Neutrogena bright boost gel cream. I started using it every morning and night and my skin feels so much brighter and hydrated. The ELF hydrating face primer is something I use every morning before applying any type of makeup. It helps keep my face hydrated and is used as a protectant.
I am embarrassed to admit this but I had fake eye lashes applied by a professional for a large event I attended a few months ago. Unfortunately they somehow affected my real eye lashes and my lashes all broke off. I did not know if my eye lashes would grow back again but after only 2 months, they have (picture below)! I use Rodan Fields lash boost every night and I can say it truly works. It is a bit pricey but so worth it. The last thing on my favorites list is a good mascara and my favorite is the Unique 4D mascara. It really gives my lashes a boost. I’ve tried many mascaras and this is my favorite.
