A fun activity to do during COVID is to go outside and look for cool rocks! Rock hunting is a fun activity for all ages. Once I find some unique rocks, I paint them with vibrant designs. The flatter and smoother the rock, the easier it is to paint. Your children will love using their creative ideas to paint as well! I’ve enjoyed writing inspirational words on rocks and placing them throughout our neighborhood for people to find. I’ve placed these rocks along our walkway as well as in baskets which add beautiful color to any home. This is a great way to enjoy the outdoors while using your creative side!
Spring is right outside our window in so many ways with birds chirping, grass getting greener, and flowers blooming. Now is the perfect time to use your green thumb to grow beautiful flowers that can be arranged into perfect arrangements. Pick some of your favorite flowers and greenery in your gardens and place them together in a vase or bouquet. These will brighten up your day in your home or can be given to a friend, neighbor, essential worker, or nursing home. It is a great way to put a smile on someone’s face while using your creativity in the garden!
With warmer weather headed our way, now is the perfect time to get your family outside for some fun games! Start up your grill, grab a drink, and get outside. Some of the games require equipment while others do not. These games can all be found on the internet, if you don’t know how to play. Below are some of my favorites!

Hello! I'm Carli, a girl originally from Ohio, who could not be more proud to call Raleigh home the last 12+ years. By day, I work at SAS Institute but when I'm not working, I'm a mom to an amazing boy and 2 dogs. In my free time, I love to stay active working out, playing sports, traveling, crafting, attending a sports game/concert, or shopping!
