The Handmade Market is a one day, designer craft fair and market featuring handcrafted
goods from more than 50 artists, designers and crafters. The FREE event will run from noon until
7:00 pm on Saturday, May 13th, 2017. There is a special preview shopping experience from 10:00am
until noon the same day. Entrance to the preview will be $7.00 and includes an event notebook, raffle ticket and complimentary beverage samples from Big Boss Brewery. Being the first to shop the latest designs and enjoy a more relaxed shopping experience is a coveted part of these events.
The Handmade Market is returning to Venture Hall at Marbles Kids Museum in downtown Raleigh.
The May 13th event has added outside vendor spaces to complement the indoor vendor spaces.
Marbles Kids Museum is located at 201 East Hargett Street, just north of Moore Square and City
Interested artists, crafters, and designers applied for The Handmade Market throughout the winter.
Applicants were juried and accepted into the event with a focus on local and regional artists. The
selection jury concentrated on designers that represent such diverse groups of modern makers
including, jewelry, children’s goods, apparel, fashion accessories, home goods, bath & body, fine art
and stationery. The jury consists of artists, designers and crafters of varying media experience. As The Handmaidens continue to stay current with trends in the art and craft event space, each market is produced with an emphasis on keeping the environment fresh, artists current and elevating the
