Shop for the best curated vintage, retro, mid-century, salvage and industrial objects for the home and wardrobe on July 27th and 28th.
NC design and craft collective, The Handmaidens, announce the next vintage pop-up
shopping event in downtown Raleigh.
Urban Vintage is an indoor antique and vintage shopping event that brings curated goods and sought after rusty junk to downtown Raleigh for two days. This event will be open to the public Friday, July 27th, 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and Saturday, July 28th, 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. Urban Vintage will be in the historic All Saints Chapel, located at 110 S East Street, downtown Raleigh, directly across from The City Cemetery. There is a huge FREE parking lot for shoppers.
Urban Vintage was born from an idea to bring affordable collections to the Raleigh area for a
temporary pop-up shopping event. With the current population explosion in Raleigh, new condos
and homes are being built all over the triangle. New homeowners are looking for found, historical and kitschy objects as seen on some of the trending designer TV shows. If clothing is your jam, we have wardrobe collections coming with ALL sizes and styles; from caftans & frocks to jumpers & platforms-get ready to be overwhelmed!
Interested collectors and curators from all over the US applied for Urban Vintage last Spring.
Applicants were juried and accepted with a focus on their collection, price point and reputation in the vintage event community. Urban Vintage is answering the need for an INDOOR (air conditioned), two day shopping experience; making long distance travel more appealing to more vendors outside the Raleigh area.
The Handmaidens, producers and creators of The Handmade Market, ventured into the vintage
movement after much research. Conversations and observations with local business owners about what Raleigh’s current growth and economy lacked led to the creation of Urban Vintage. With support from the community and an inclusive approach, Urban Vintage has partnered with All Saints Chapel, Raleigh Vintage, SuzAnna’s Antiques, Retro Modern Furnishings, Katie Callahan and YELP for this event.
