Kids have a night out to call their own! First Friday Kids Camp is a unique experience that includes
museum play and making new friends, while exploring unique activities each month. Parents are free to
experience downtown Raleigh's First Friday festivities, see an IMAX movie (IMAX schedule) or simply
relax while kids embark on their own adventure.

national trails day at e. carroll joyner park - sat, june 4
The Town of Wake Forest will celebrate National Trails Day on Saturday, June 4, from 9 am - 1 pm at E.
Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road. The free event will include an Environmental Education Expo
featuring interactive environmental education stations. Set up throughout the park, the stations will offer
both children and adults a unique opportunity to experience the wonders of nature while learning about
the environment. As part of the expo, attendees will have the opportunity to get an up-close look at
some of the living things you might encounter on the trails.
Kids who pick up a passport at the Greenways Advisory Board booth and have it stamped at 10 stations or more will be eligible for a special prize (while supplies last).
apex latino arts festival - sat, june 4
The Apex Latino Arts Festival aims to highlight the presence of Latino arts and culture in our local
community and provide an opportunity to build bridges across cultures. Tastings of delicious
“homemade” Latin American foods from 12 countries: Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador,
Guatemala, México, Nicaragua, Panamá, Puerto Rico, República Dominicana, and Venezuela. Plus live
music, dance performances, and arts & crafts bazaar with items for sale.
Admission is free. “Food Passports” to enjoy food from all 12 countries are just $6 per person.
The Apex Latino Arts Festival Association, a nonprofit organization, works in conjunction with the Town of Apex to present this annual Festival for the Apex residents and surrounding communities.
durham greek festival - sat-sun, june 4-5
Experience the fabulous flavors, sights and sounds of Greece on Saturday, June 4 & Sunday, June 5 at St. Barbara's DURHAM GREEK FESTIVAL. The event will be held 11 am to 9 pm, rain or shine, at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 8306 Highway 751 in Durham. Admission is free. Festival proceeds benefit the St. Barbara Building Fund and the Durham Rescue Mission.
