I have been working tirelessly to get some fun and exciting events on the calendar for our community, and not to pat my own back but we have some EXCITING stuff coming up!!
November 4, 2019: Meet & Greet at Dream Dinners
I wanted to put together a low-key, more intimate event before our official re-launch and this seemed like the perfect activity! I've done one of the meal prep workshops with Dream Dinners before and it's such a fun experience. You get to make 1 meal for free just for coming and then if you want to buy up and make additional meals, you can do that too! You're also allowed to bring your own wine, if you wish =) You will need to register through the Dream Dinners sign up which can be found in the Facebook event. There are a few spots left!

December 3, 2019: RVA Housewives Girls Night Out Relaunch Event @ AR Workshop Richmond
I am SO excited for our re-launch event!! It's being held at AR Workshop in Stony Point Fashion Park. Your $5 ticket will give you access to the event and includes food (Smorgasboard) and drink! There will be a photo booth, $5 DIY Christmas Ornaments provided by AR Workshop, Local Small Businesses to shop from, and SWAG BAGS (limited quantity available). We will have a professional photographer there (Juls Photography) to capture you and your girlfriends having all the fun! Lastly, we're accepting new, unwrapped toys to donate to our local Toys for Tots Campaign. Tickets have already been going fast, so be sure to tell your friends and grab them before they sell out. This is going to be one for the books!

January 7, 2020: RVA Housewives Girls Night Out @ Terrant's West
The RVA Housewives will be kicking off the new DECADE with a FREE Girls Night Out at Terrant's West! They've set aside their beautiful sun room for us and will be extending their happy hour specials for drinks and food for the entire time we're there. Yaymaker Richmond will be there with succulents that you get to plant and bring home with you. In addtion, we will also have a professional photographer (Misfit Moon Photography) there taking Headshots for any guests that want them - New Year, New Headshot! ;) And as always, swag bags!! Even though the event is free, you will still need a ticket to attend =)

If you're interested in being a sponsor or vendor at any of the above events, please feel free to reach out to me at email@example.com. I'm also still looking for a charity to partner with for our January event, so if you would like to nominate your favorite charity - please send it to the same email!
Looking forward to all the fun that will be had and new friends that will be made as we close this year out and head into the next!

I'm here for my formal introduction! Courtney recently passed the reigns of the leader for the Richmond Housewives in the City Community to me and I couldn't be more excited (though I know she will be greatly missed and I'm hoping she still shows her beautiful face at our events)!
My name is Dannah and I'm a full time working mom to two kids (a 5 year old boy and an almost 4 year old girl) as well as a fur-mom to two dogs. To say I'm busy is an understatement but really, aren't we all? I was born and raised in Wisconsin where I also went to school (Go Badgers!). After I graduated, I knew I was ready to explore and see what the rest of the country had to offer. I took a job that moved me to Phoenix, AZ, Albany, NY (twice!), Raleigh, NC, Williamsburg, VA and then I finally landed (for good) in Richmond, VA. Knowing what a lot of the country has to offer, I think Richmond is an amazing place to be. The weather is nice, you can be to the mountains or the ocean in little time. The food is great, the shopping is awesome but most of all, the community of people here are really the best. When I moved here, I had one friend. I immediately joined a local moms group on Facebook and it emerged me into a great community of women which many of whom have become great friends. Not to mention, the sense of community among entrepreneurs here is also bar-none - everyone truly supports each other and wants the other to succeed! That is something special and not found in all places (trust me, I know!).
My hope as I relaunch Richmond Housewives in the City is that it will be a community that can support and promote local businesses but also be a space for the women of RVA to connect with each other. I find that we all get so busy that we typically need a REASON to get our girlfriends together and my mission is to create that reason. Our events are a space for ladies to get together with their current friends as well giving them the opportunity to make new friends too. (I'm in the process of planning the relaunch event now so keep an eye out for it - you won't want to miss it!)
If you've attended a RVA Housewives in the past, post in the comments what your favorite part of it was!
Thanks for reading and I'm looking forward to meeting the ladies of this community soon!
Welcome! I’m Dannah.
I’m a full-time working mom of two young kids and a fur mom to a Boxer and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I’m a multi-passionate entrepreneur with my main focus being on creating community for the women of RVA. I can’t wait to meet you at an upcoming event!
