The first time I ever used a housecleaning service, I was pregnant with my third and had twin toddlers running around and yet, I still felt a little lazy. I think that some people have a hard time justifying it, especially when they are at stay at home moms ( which I am). However, over the last few years I have adopted a new mantra: You can do anything, but not everything. Which brings me back to Five Star Maids, who recently visited my house for a housecleaning service. Because I have enjoyed them so much, I chatted with them last week and I wanted to share some of their recommendations and tips with you!
I think people often think of housecleaning services as a luxury. How do you think your service benefits families?
If there is one thing we don't have enough of, it is TIME. A cleaning service can help you get back some precious time with your friends and family. Imagine spending your weekends having fun instead of cleaning your bathrooms and floors! As moms, we are busy enough. Let Five Star Maids take "cleaning" off your must-do list.
What does Five Star Maids clean every time they come to your house?
Our crew works in a precise manner to clean every room (and floor!) in your house. We also make the beds and change linens. We offer oven and fridge cleaning as well for an add-on cost.
How should you prepare your house before a cleaning service comes?
Just a basic pick up of any clutter that needs to be moved out of the way. If you have any pets that you don't want to be disturbed, some clients put them in another room or outside. For the most part, you just need to sit back and relax!
Do you need to be home during scheduled cleanings?
No. We have many clients that have their homes cleaned while they are at work and some that choose to run errands while the crew is at their house. You can choose to leave a key at our office, provide us a garage code, or remotely unlock the door yourself.
To schedule your cleaning head to Five Star Maids and let them know that RVA Housewives in The City referred you!
