You can’t go into any public place these days without hearing or speaking about the weather. It’s hot. I have only lived here three summers and this one takes the cake. I really fear my steering wheel is going to malfunction because of the melting factor inside the car.
All that aside our July Girls Night Out was cool, relaxed and a ton of fun. All the guests were spoiled by the dessert spotlight business Cakes with a Kiss and multiple business giveaways. So between mini-cupcakes and the drinks from an all day happy hour at Bar Louie it was a grand night as usual. And it was all in doors as well.
Starting a new trend this month is the Housewives Approved Business Spotlight. All the guests voted for their favortie business and this business wins an exclusive blog post along with a small token of my appreciation. Wine-O-Helen was the winner so you catch her story on how she got started in the wine biz on the blog in August.
If you missed the girls night out at Bar Louie in Stone Oak or if you would like to know what business were spotlighted here is our Local Ladies Roundup for July.
One of my favorite place to hang out, eat, shop, catch a movie, etc. here in San Antonio is the Alamo Quarry Market (aka The Quarry). So it only makes logical sense that we should have a Girls Night Out there. If you missed it, last week we were at Canyon Cafe on the North side of the shopping complex.
Canyon Cafe is popular for their "out of the box" specialty dinners such as Bison Meatloaf and Corn Crusted Calamari. I vier more towards seafood, so I enjoyed the Calamari. The ladies got to enjoy margaritas all evening along while doing a little shopping, networking and supporting the Center for Health Care Services. You can learn more about them here and PLEASE continue to donate to their cause that helps families here in San Antonio.
Here is our June’s Local Ladies Roundup. It's a place where you can find the vendors that were with us at the girls night out in case you couldn’t make it or if you need a quick reminder of where to find them.
And many thanks to our lovely photographers.
Summer is vastly upon us here in San Antonio (even though this week has been ful of strange storms and rain). We kicked it off with a great night out at Lion & Rose at the Rim last Thursday. Thank you to everyone who came out to meet-up or to indulge in the $1.50 margaritas. It was a pleasure to have Carrie and Natasha there from The One Beauty Bar giving us mini makeovers and doing a raffle. And to learn more about Revolution Thrift from the Executive Director, Rachell.
As a thank you and for a quick link, here are the list of vendors that helped make our time even more special.
Another great night at Bar Louie in La Cantera for our Girls Night Out !!Fiesta!! Party. If you were able to make it out I am so grateful! I hope you got your photo taken at the Party People Photobooth. If you missed it or need some contact info here is the Local Ladies Roundup April Edition.
Happy Spring Housewives readers!
I hope you were able to make it out to my Girls Night Out this month at Silo Elevated in Alamo Heights. If so, then you know that everyone had a great time eating calamari and drinking their martini’s. Erica R. was the winner of the $20 Silo gift card and make sure to check out the live video of all the vendors here.
After a week of school being out for Spring Break, many of the guests were excited to have a girls night out. Others were just excited to enjoy an evening after work with friends.
My favorite part about the GNOs are meeting my readers and the peeps that follow me on social media. Having that face-2-face time is so valuable and reminds me that we all need more community. I was able to connect to my Leading Lady Melissa and Nisi helped me out with Swag bags from Mental Health who is launching a new app to the public here.
Childsafe came out and brought there Cardboard Kids campaign in order to bring awareness of child abuse. If you picked some "kids" be sure to set them out on April 6th in support of these efforts.
Everyone was loving shopping with LuLaRoe, Lipsense and getting some henna tattoos from Kittie. If you weren't able to get a business card or if you missed the event all together and you want a recap here is the vendor line up we had.
A special thanks to our photographers Tyeshia Barnes and Ronald Gordon. Ronald was even gracious enough put together a video of our enjoyable evening.
Here at San Antonio Housewives in the City we strive to help local lady entrepreneurs get their businesses growing. One way we do this is by highlighting business at our Girls Night Out events, as well as introducing them to you here. I don’t know about you but I love shopping local ;)
If you missed Monday’s Girls Night Out, here is a Local Ladies Roundup of those #bossladies that came and gave you a great evening of giveaways, SWAG and good times.
After a crazy night of storms and tornadoes, Monday night at Bar Louie in Stone Oak turned out to be beautiful and warm. There is a great view off the deck and we were able to enjoy a warm breeze with the doors rolled open for a little bit. Big shout out to Josh our server and Angie the GM who helped make the night run smooth.
Thank you to all of you ladies that came out to the #housewivesGNO. If anyone wants to get a hold of our fabulous vendors or charity click on their highlighted links below for our #LocalLadiesRoundup for February.
Let’s not forget our lovely photographers who danced around all of us shooting pics from every angle.
Special thanks to Hannah of Madley and Love Blooms who whipped up some beautiful center pieces to help make the night special.
