A big thank you to Kiley... owner of Simple Beauty for being a wonderful host venue and providing the complimentary snacks, wine and swag bags. And a delicious thank you from this beer lover to Bone Hook Brewing for the kegs of beer! I became a fan of
A big component of Girl's Night Out is showcasing and supporting local small women businesses. Below is a list of all this month's featured businesses along with their social links. Keep these women in mind when seeking jewelry, clothes, gifts and services. Supporting small businesses really does make a difference and when women support one another great things happen!

If you are looking for your lost shaker of salt, then I highly suggest taking a roadtrip to Margaritaville Resort & Marina in Key West. It is the perfect hotel for a fun yet relaxing weekend in the sun. From the beautiful tropical pool vibes and outdoor oceanfront dining to the spacious, modern room with an ideal island location, I found myself completely relaxed from the moment we arrived.
This resort is beautiful and the rooms are fabulous. We scored a one bedroom suite overlooking the most perfect sunsets. All rooms are elegantly styled to put you in vacation mode immediately.
There is so much to do without going far. Margaritaville's marina location and close proximity to Duval street (an easy 5-minute walk) makes it the perfect home-spot for your Key West adventures. But if you're the type who prefers to spend your getaways sitting poolside sipping margaritas, this place is also for you. I am somewhere in the middle, so our ideal property offers both- and that's exactly what we found in Margaritaville!
5 things to do during your stay at Margaritaville Key West Resort
1. Enjoy the Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square
No trip to Key West is complete without a sunset viewing from the pier surrounded by street performers, musicians, artists, food vendors and of course the beautiful glow of the sun as it sinks down across the water.
2. Have a drink on the Sunset Deck
The Sunset Deck is part of the Margaritaville Resort and situated directly above Bistro 245 on the second floor of the main building along the waterfront. The Sunset Deck opens everyday one hour before sunset. This offers a more private and elevated viewing- especially great for the busy season!
3. Take a short walk to Duval Street
There is so much to do within walking distance of the Margaritaville Resort: from visiting the peaceful Key West Butterfly Conservatory and stepping back in time at a number of historic sites to enjoying local brews and live music on Duval Street.
4. Bike to Fort Zachary for a great beach day
There are so many places to rent bikes (or bring your own), giving you a chance to explore the island a little further without needing to worry about parking. And Fort Zachary is one of those must visit spots. This nearby State Park is deal for a shaded, beachfront picnic followed by an afternoon of snorkeling.
5. Have dinner at Bistro 245
There are lots of yummy restaurants in Key West but if you want a front row seat of the sunset to go with your decadent meal then you will want to make reservations at Bistro 245, which is located at the Margaritaville Resort.

On this night...18 years ago, 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning tomorrow. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift of saving lives. None of them saw past 10:00 am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.
Never forget. 🇺🇸
