This month's SWFL Girl's Night Out event was such a fun night at Gather in Cape Coral. Over 100 women come out to socialize, shop and enjoy this treasure of a restaurant. The first 50 ladies got a Swag Bag full of goodies sponsored by Thirty-One Gifts by Heidi! And everyone had the opportunity to learn about some wonderful local women businesses. My friend and photographer, Steve Wilcox, captured the evening beautifully...take a look for yourself...a picture is worth a thousand words. But to sum it up: GREAT NIGHT OUT with the ladies of Southwest Florida.
Make sure to save the date for the December Holiday Sip & Shop event. There will be ! Same concept but with a focus on holiday shopping! Buy your gifts while supporting local women businesses as we enjoy the beautiful terrace of the Holiday Inn and their great happy hour specials.
Well, Thanksgiving is in a couple of weeks, so that means soon we will enter the season where Ugly Sweaters are not only acceptable they are often a requirement for a party! So it may very well be something you seek out to buy this time of year!
Instead of rushing around vintage stores looking for those oldie sweaters that our parents made us wear for real or heading to Target to get the same one that everyone else will get shop UglyChristmasSweater.com for a huge selection of funny, cute and even some that would be only be appropriate for an Adult party.
I highly recommend you check out their website, grab something for your next holiday event like one of the December Girl's Night Out events: Holiday Sip & Shop on December 11th.. The sweaters are high quality, creative and sure to gain some attention. You may see me in that shiny candy cane jacket that I also found on the UglySweater.com website! And follow them on Instagram for some inspiration!
Each month I choose a local nonprofit to support. This month the Charity Spotlight is on Be The Light Outreach which is dedicated to ending human trafficking through empowering our community with tools, education & resources. They are a 501C3 nonprofit and a community of volunteers (AKA: LightKeepers). Thy provide tangible solutions to trafficking through their 3 Strategy Approach.
"For those trapped in slavery, everyday is filled with
exploitation, manipulation and abuse.
However, we know that darkness does not overpower light,
it is merely the absence of it.
Be the Light in slavery's darkness."
