As the summer rolls towards the end, we all want to do things to make the most of our time. Today was one of those days. We decided to go to Castaway Cove for a few hours to beat the heat and tucker out the kiddos. My husband is TDY this week, so a girlfriend of mine offered to go with us, since there is no way I could handle these two crazies on my own there.
My toddler loves water, as well as my baby. Overall it was a super relaxing Sunday, and a great way to prepare for fall to come upon us. What activities will you be doing to end the summer?
As y'all saw in my last post, my baby turned TWO this past week. This is a huge milestone as he all of a sudden seems to ask more questions, puts more sentences together and can let us know what he wants and needs (for the most part). We decided instead of a big gift, to bring him to a place where we knew he would have a great time. After some research, we decided on the the OKC Zoo and it was a BLAST! It wasn't crowded at all, there were plenty of indoor stops along each section to cool off, the animals were awesome and looked very healthy and loved. His favorite part was definitely the Tigers and the Sea Lion presentation. He jumped and clapped, soaking in every moment until passing out in the car 5 minutes into the ride out of the parking lot. This zoo has tons to offer and I highly recommend visiting - especially with it only being 2 hours from Wichita Falls.
We had an exciting day today as our baby boy got to hit a milestone in his little and exciting life. He will be two years old this Friday (let me go grab my bottle of wine and cry!), and it was time for his baby curls to get a trim. We took him to Kids Hair Safari in Wichita Falls and cannot rave enough! What an awesome space and atmosphere for kiddos to get their first haircut. He got to sit in a cool truck that spins and wear a cool cape. What more could a kiddo ask for? Check them out y’all!
